I am Ewan Hendon the cycle mechanic who was at Ciclos Uno for over 23 years.
I still service, repair, and build bikes locally in the Hainault area. As a shop, Ciclos Uno was in New North Road, Hainault for over 23 years and sadly had to close in June 2022 due to people now buying from online retailers and not supporting local shops.
I predominantly specialise in road racing bikes, time trial/triathlon bikes but will work on others so please just ask. I have extensive experience working with Shimano, Campagnolo, Sram and all the electric gear sets these manufacturers have bought out over the years.
Wheel building is also available – I have been wheel building for 30 years building many people’s race, carbon, track, etc wheels – Please email requirements and I will get back to you.

Basic Service
For new bikes or bikes with low use
- Brakes checked.
- Gears checked & re-aligned.
- Cranks checked and tightened to recommended torque.
- Tyres checked and inflated correctly.
- Seat post removed & re-greased or fibre grip applied.
- Headset and handlebar assembly checked and tightened to recommended torque.
- Fitting of new bar tape if required.

Classic Services
For bikes used regularly or raced
- Frame & forks wiped down and checked over for damage.
- Complete drive system checked for wear including chainset, bottom bracket, chain, cassette, both derailleurs & pedals. All cleaned or replaced if worn.
- Tyres checked and inflated correctly.
- Seat post removed cleaned, re-greased or fibre grip applied.
- Brakes checked.
- Gears checked/re-aligned & fitting of cables if required.
- Headset and handlebar assembly checked and adjusted/tightened to recommended torque.
- Fitting of new bar tape if required.
Price – £90
Premium Service
For bikes that have a hard life; it will make your bike feel like new again!
- Bike fully stripped down to the bare frame. Frame & forks wiped down & checked over for damage.
- Complete drive system removed including chainset, bottom bracket, chain, cassette, both derailleurs & pedals. All cleaned and refitted or replaced if worn.
- Tyres checked and inflated correctly.
- Seat post removed, cleaned, re-fitted and re-greased or fibre grip applied.
- Brakes checked & fitting of new cables/pads if required.
- Gears checked/re-aligned & fitting of new cables if required.
- Headset removed & re-greased.
- Headset and handlebar assembly checked and tightened to recommended torque.
- Fitting of new bar tape if required.
- Wheel trued.
- Wheel hubs checked & if necessary re-greased.
- With this level of service, the whole bike is stripped bare & reassembled!

- Bikes will need to be collected or dropped back off to you within 2 days of completion – A charge of £10 per day will be added as I do not have storage space
